GCSF and Breastfeeding

Breast milk naturally contains GCSF (granulocyte colony stimulating factor). Research shows that the GCSF in breast milk acts directly on the lining of the intestines to protect against bacterial infection. GCSF in breast milk is not significantly absorbed into the blood, so it does not change a baby’s white blood cell count. It is safe to continue using GCSF while breastfeeding.
