Dental Care
-
See a dentist 2-4 times a year for teeth cleaning. This reduces the plaque buildup on teeth and keeps gums healthy.
-
Brush at least twice a day with a fluoride toothpaste. Floss at least once a day.
-
If using a mouthwash or rinse, be sure that it is alcohol free.
-
If you are experiencing gum irritation, redness, or bleeding, discuss with your doctor whether your GCSF dose needs to be adjusted.

Orthodontics
-
All orthodontic appliances should be checked carefully for rough or sharp areas that can cause mouth sores. Talk with your orthodontist about the best method to prevent and reduce rough edges.
-
Removable orthodontic appliances should be cleaned daily.
